Beware of them that speak with forked tongues

Just a word to the wise. We continue to get reports from local businesses saying they are being contacted by national brands offering them directory listings and a guaranteed page one listing in Google. I have actually now heard a radio advert claiming that they can guarantee you a page one listing on ALL of the major search engines! Now unless I am totally out of touch (which is not the case) this is BS. Have nothing to do with these people is our advice. Hi John, We were approached by several people under the guise of google resellers last year and did actually try one of them - and it was as described, except they were selling sponsored links for one set price (not per click). Ive always felt natural listings do far more, though time consuming.
